The Las Vegas Boulevard, popularly referred to as the Las Vegas Strip, is home to some of the most famous casinos which have earned the city its repute of being the ideal destination for gambling. Some of the world famous casinos on Fremont Street are the Golden Nugget, Four Queens, Fremont Casino and the Las Vegas Club.
Las Vegas is a shopper's delight with a number of destinations and options for shopping. Most of the shopping venues in the city fall under four main categories, namely the shopping malls, the outlet stores, the department stores and hotel shops. Some of the shopping malls worthy of a visit are listed as follows:
  • The Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood consist of 140 shops and restaurants arranged in a circle around a casino and are open everyday for all seven days of the week. 
  • The Mandalay Place boasts of 41 shops and restaurants for the high end shoppers, some of the well known ones being 55 Degree Wines and Kobe Burgers for a quick bite. 
  • The Via Bellagio, overlooking the Bellagio fountains, consists of a few extremely expensive shops set amidst high glass ceilings and polished marbles and is an ideal venue for up scale compulsive shoppers. 
  • The Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian transport one to Italy because of their setting of arched and cobbled stone walkways and winding canals on which one can avail a Gondola ride. 
  • The Fashion Show Mall is a great place for tourists to watch and interact with the locals and shop for some of the latest and trendy items. 
  • The Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace are a delight for families because of the presence of 170 shops, a huge toy shop, couple of talking statues and a salt water aquarium with a capacity of holding 50,000 gallons of water.
Some of the factory outlet stores in Las Vegas are listed as follows:
  • The Las Vegas Premium Outlets offer an outdoor shopping experience and are ideal for tough bargainers. They consist of 120 shops, most of which are factory outlets of renowned brands such as Armani, Coach, Dolce Gabbana and many more. 
  • The Las Vegas Outlet Center is an indoor mall covering an area of 580,000 square foot and it consists of 130 shops offering branded goods at half their market rates. An added attraction is a carousel for children. 
  • The Fashion Outlets of Las Vegas consist of a 100 factory outlets offering a good bargain for almost all products.
Some of the department stores which one can visit for shopping are listed as follows:
  • The Dillards is a reputed store which has four shops at different locations in Las Vegas. 
  • The Neiman Marcus store is available as a shop as well as a factory outlet store. 
  • Robinsons May has two stores in Las Vegas and Henderson. 
  • Bloomingdales has a store which is located at the Fashion Show Mall. 
  • Nordstrom has its shops at two locations in Las Vegas. 
  • Macy's boasts of having four shops in the city. 
  • Saks Fifth Avenue has its store at the Fashion Show Mall.
Other than the above mentioned shopping areas, the hotels in Las Vegas also have their exclusive shops which are open to all shoppers irrespective of whether they are staying in that particular hotel or not. Some of the popular hotel shops are Wynn Esplanade, Via Bellagio, Caesars Palace and Planet Hollywood.
